We stayed at Cascada for six weeks a few years ago. It's a nice complex but the walk is a bit steep coming back from the beach. The view from our veranda was great. We were two floors down from the penthouse. Not all the apartments have a great view. It's a good 5 minute walk to La Ropa. A 10 to 15 minute walk to town. I hear that the buses are running more often between La Ropa and town so that might be nice but taxis weren't too expensive when we were there.
