Jaime is from a small village called Tlamacazapa high in the Sierra Madre del Sur about an hour's ride along a dirt road from Taxco. Tlama, for short, is known for the intricate weavings of baskets, hand-bags, sombreros, placemats and just about anything else they can think of to make.

There the women still wear traditional rebosos (shawls) which they use to cover their head and much of their face most of the time. Houses are still built with adobe and woven sticks, and cooking is still done in adobe ovens. Not much has changed for them in hundreds of years except the arrival of electricity.
